My first steps into the world of martial arts. (1982) Practising Yang style Tai Chi Chuan as a teenager. (age 13-18) Started studying Southern Chinese styles as well at the age of 14.
Influenced by Bruce Lee??? (1985) Demonstrating Pak Mei fighting applications with Dan Vercammen. (1985) Tui shou practice with Dan Vercammen. (1987)
Spreading my wings for De Stoeten Ostendenoare, a long defunct local magazine. (age 17) A nicely executed side kick at the age of 18. Demonstrating Yang style Tai Chi Chuan in 1988
Punching my brother Tom. (1989) My first Wudang style Tai Chi Chuan students. (1990) Dan Docherty's first time visit to Belgium.
Defeated ;-) by my ex-girlfriend Els on a hot summerday in 1991. Attending an international Tai Chi Chuan competition in Amsterdam with my students in 1993. Trying out my Single Whip on Tom. (1994)

Results : silver (men -60kg) for Wim Provoost (kneeling, left), gold (men -55kg) for Ben Teugels (kneeling, right), bronze (men -65kg) for Miguel Tyteca (standing, 2nd from left) and gold (men -65kg) for Jerry Roels (standing, 3rd from left).
